Z Tag Sheep Red Replacement Pairs

Z for Sheep Eid & Visual tags are the ideal one-piece solution for identifying lambs and ewes, especially when manual or single application is preferred. They are applied using our retractable applicator, which significantly reduces the risk of ear tearing, particularly in older sheep. With five pivot points, a spring-loaded handle, and a lightweight, ergonomic design, the applicator ensures quick, safe, and easy tagging—making the process faster and less stressful for both the animal and the operator.

The EID FDX-B transponder is housed in a flexible, waterproof plastic tray and is secured when the tag is closed over ensuring security and readability for life. The electronic and visual tags are provided in separate strips of 10 tags.

Red replacement pairs of tags (one EID & one visual) are used for brought-in sheep that have lost their original tags. If the original flock number or individual number is illegible, you may remove the existing brought-in tag and replace it with two double red tags. These new tags should display your flock number along with a unique individual number. Be sure to cross-reference the new tag details in your flock book for accurate record-keeping.
